I have a Pianosaver already installed on my piano but my hydrometer says the humidity is only at 25 since the heat came on and my tech says that the Pianosaver isn't enough so I bought a separate unit, a Venta and that's not doing the trick either and I have to refill it twice a day. The room is about 25 X 20.

Thank you all!

If you have forced air heat, installing a central humidifier would be the easiest solution and has the added benefit of improving things in the whole house.

Depending on where you live and your personal preferences, you may find you can turn off the heat in your piano room. I live in an apartment in NYC and almost never have the heat on in the room with my piano. Other than getting a larger or second humidifier, which may or may not help, I don't think there's a solution to filling the humidifier frequently or than possibly a central humidifier mentioned in an earlier post. I sometimes have to fill mine three times a day. Are you running the humidifier at the highest setting?

25 X 20 is a big room but not so big that a good humidifier can’t do the trick. Does it have a door you can close? Or is it open concept with high ceilings?

Reason I ask is because I have an open concept home with high ceilings, which means lots of air spaces to fill. I have 3 “whole home” evaporative humidifiers, one on each level (except the basement which is also open concept to upstairs). Having 3 units going at the same time means I only fill the machines about once every 24 - 48 hrs.

I highly recommend Essick Aircare Space Saver units, something like this (they have other similar models with different numbers):

https://www.homedepot.com/p/AIRCARE-6-Gal-Evaporative-Humidifier-for-2300-sq-ft-836000HB/312735644

They are A LOT less expensive than Venta units but maintain my humidity at 40-45% (or higher if I wished but too high humidity has the adverse effect of condensation buildup on windows). I live in Toronto, Canada so we are cold and dry.

They are also top fill which is very convenient.

I also considered getting a central unit but decided against it.
