I literally just found this thread. This is a really neat idea. I'd like to join. At this point the only days I missed were back in February, but that was because my wife and I went to NYC to see Billy Joel in concert (it was my birthday present).

Thanks for the warm welcome Sol Finker and SwissMS!

Random question. If I brought a melodica to practice on at the hotel, does that count? That probably wouldn't count, huh? I had to ask laugh

Everything you consider practice counts IMO .

Here to belatedly confess a missed day on 16 Sep. I was out for the evening and didn't plan accordingly earlier in the day!

I discovered Piano World this week and this thread literally a few minutes ago. I can’t say that I have practised for the whole year so far but it was certainly the year I’ve practised the most. Willing to try and practise all days from now on. This year I also bought a melodica which I took to our holidays so I’m guessing I’ll have to make sure that little one comes with me on weekends out!

If I meet the rules, I’d love to join!

Hello,

I'd like to report another absence: 8 October, 2020 (as a result of taking an exotic trip to a hotel - 10 kilometres from home. Funny what people will do with their unused travel budget isn't it?).

Thank you.

Patrick

Time for catch up. Please excuse me for
Sept 23/24/25/26 when I was unwell, and
Oct 2nd through til Oct 10th when we took a break and ventured out of our Covid bubble and enjoyed a vacation over on Victoria Island - away from the crowds!

This morning we will get the keys to our new place and begin moving. Pianos were picked up yesterday, so we'll be pianoless from 10/21 through 10/26. The new piano is scheduled to arrive at the new place on 10/27.

Hi everybody. I've just found this thread and now understand what the stickers on peoples signatures finally mean!
Way too late for this year, but I'm going to make a personal commitment to play everyday and use these last two months of the year as a warmup for 2021 (which can't arrive soon enough)

Please excuse me for November 27. We went to the Merced National Wildlife Refuge to do some serious birding (stayed in the car on the auto route). Soaring birds instead of soaring music from my piano, haha.

Hi there,

Normal I play every day. Please excuse me for some days in the week of 16-22 november. I had a major surgery for prostatecancer. After a period of investigation and uncertainty I got the bad diagnosis. In those days I tried to relax at the piano. In a while we will know if the operation was enough successful. Maybe radiotherapy or chemotherapy will follow....cross my fingers.

Kind regards,
Johan B

Please excuse me for 12/24.

Insanity reigned supreme on that day, but I’m back at it now.

Thank you.

Hi I know I am very late posting this, but I didn’t really practice from May 24-Dec 30. I sort of practiced for one day then fell right back off the wagon between this time period. I am back on the wagon now. I don’t really have a reason why I didn’t practice.
