Gretings by one of its brothers custom ordered in nickel plated finish by out of town customer.

Leaving soon to its new home about 1000 miles away, took music desk out to have better view of inside:

Here's one a bit more conservative, still quite special:

Enjoy your own new "member of the family"

Norbert smile

Thanks Norbert,

I've seen and tried one like the nickel-plated Delta in Spaichingen (could it be the same one, I wonder). My own new member of the family will get special attention when back home.

Congratulations. A beautiful piano indeed. I have a 1960 Sauter baby grand and a 1971 Steinway Hamburg M and both of them have an excellent round pure sound. The Sauter is less deep in the bass but more warm velvet in the middle.
I love Sauter

Congrats - 2 monstrous pianos!

Actually today's Sauters are a far cry of what they were in the 60-70's

It's like comparing "Auto-Union" to present-day Audis.

Next new 'Audi' on way:

Interesting old post. I have a 1920 New York Steinway M and a. late 1990s Sauter upright. Unbelievable pianos, but at this point I think Sauter is superior to Steinway. -J

Why would you revive this?

Thank you I just love it ! Sauter used to be the popular piano
on PW .This thread is from 2013 of course. In 2015 , something happened that caused a great deal of trouble.
I followed the whole disaster through 2016 ,2017 to 2018 when I bought my piano........
Still I am not sure who really was at fault , or why this place did not let it go .........
Since 2018 that I have become a member ,I think I am the only member who has written in about about buying new Sauter piano in North America here on PW. I know of two definite purchases of Sauter instruments here in Vancouver BC .I have been told about more. In the sub forum two people from Europe bought uprights.
However Sauter seems to have become a "ghost piano" here on PW. Also no one here with any significant standing will
champion it in any way or form.
I just think it is sad. Has it done this place any good ?

She's gorgeous! I've never played a Sauter, but I've always heard good things about them. Congratulations! There's nothing like getting a new piano! It's a rush, and guess what? It never gets old.
