Hi Lucubrate,

I don't recall having to go through so many steps on other forums to post photos -

If you create a new thread just for your photos in the "piano-photo-gallery-pictures-of-pianos thread" (link below), then you can right click on the posted image and "open in a new tab" to get the URL of that image, once you do you, use the "insert image link" when posting to this thread to link the images to the images in the "piano-photo-gallery-pictures-of-pianos" thread you created.

I've never figured it out !

I just put a link up to my Face book page, WAY easier.

Neither have I. I've used forums w/ this exact same layout, look & feel before,... & never had an issuing posting pics before.

I appreciate Your step-step instructions, & have tried them to no avail. Here's what I get:


When I click on the link, I go to a page that has no "Create New Thread". There's a link to "Create New Gallery" button. When I click that, it opens a Thread window. Interestingly, the window has no "Insert Picture" icon.

In the Galley Forum, which the link You posted took Me too, & I opened a New Thread Window. There is an "Image Manager" link, below the Description txt block. I can retrieve photo files from My computer & I even drag & drop pics. Once I'm finished, I hit the "Done" button & nothing happens. I click "Preview New Thread" and none of My pics are visible

I even tried using the URL (from opening My pics in "Open in New Tab") in the "Insert Image Link" icon in a new comment to this thread


Even though I was able to transfer pics from My computer, using the "Image Manager" in the Photo gallery", I wasn't able to get Them to show up in a New Thread

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure this out, to no avail. Again - I've used similar sites in the past, with no difficulty posting pics. From what I've read here, others have difficulty posting pictures as well. I'd love to be able to post pics of My new piano!

Also, the link You provided, at the top of the page says "To Post a Picture or Pictures See" with a link to click on. I went there. Clicked on the "Thread Options" button in the upper right side of the page. Started a new the thread. Used the "Insert Image Link" icon. Posted the message. It didn't work

I appreciate Your assistance Blue. I tried step by step what You suggested, but it didn't work. However, if You notice something I did wrong, or a step I missed - Please let Me know

If anyone is bored out there - Please give it a shot!

Not sure how You did That, but Thanks Bruce!

Lucubrate:

1) I opened each of the above images individually.
2) I right-clicked on the image and selected "Copy Image Address."
3) I opened a new post and selected "Use Full Editor"
4) In Full Editor I clicked on "Insert Image Link" which is the ninth icon from the left at the top of the post box.
5) I copied the image address into the pop-up box (Ctrl+V) and the image address appeared in the pop-up box.
6) I hit Return again and the image address appeared in the post.
7) I hit "Post Reply" and the image is automatically embedded in the post.

A most hearty congratulations on not just an instrument, but an icon and what most certainly will be a lifelong companion. I somehow missed the 214VC to 280VC upgrade post so those photos had quite an impact!
