Question: What video/audio formats are accepted? Can I just upload to YouTube and provide a link?

Question: What video/audio formats are accepted? Can I just upload to YouTube and provide a link? You'll need an mp3 audio file. You can extract an mp3 from your video file. I have found that Audacity works well for this. Open the video file in Audacity - you will not see the video, just the audio, then export as an mp3. You can actually use Audacity to "improve" the audio in your video by adding reverb, filtering, etc. Audacity is a free, open source, program. You will supply the link to your video and upload your mp3 during the submission process. Sam

I'm going to have to see if I can do the trills. That might be a show stopper for me.
I have a question for Tim, because I'm looking at maybe doing K551. The piece has two flats, one of them is E. The first trill is indicated by a tremolo symbol over an E. The note immediately prior is a D. So I figure that's a D-Eb trill using fingers 2 and 3. Is that right? Thanks.

Hi, Hawgdriver! Well, I'm looking at at an edition provided by Ricordi, who cites a fellow named Silvestri as overseer -- and he spells out Eb-F, not Eb-D, for that trill. In more general terms, he spells out the notes for every ornament in the score, and so I'm inclined to believe what he says. Hope this helps!

F - Eb. Sam

Now is a good time for a reminder! This recital will open for submissions July 1 at about 6AM US Eastern time. It will close for submissions and go "live" July 15th at 6AM US Eastern time.
One month warning!

If anyone wanted to play K27 and decided not to because of my submission, please go ahead! I will do my best to submit the piece, but the epidemic took the toll on my practice and I'm not 100% certain I will be ready for prime time. It's still a month to go and I'm concentrating on that piece in full, but just a heads up to everyone that it might not happen.
Cheers! Mati
