Hi,

My NU1X will be arriving next week and I'm looking to buy new headphones.
I've searched through some threads here, but surely new headphones have since come out.

Can someone please advise? Sennheiser HD 650 maybe?

Thanks,
Joël

In Europe, I find the AKG K702 a far better value for my money. But in the USA, I think they are twice what they cost here.

Probably if you've looked at previous threads, you saw there is no consensus...Everyone's ears prefers something else.
Personally, I am very happy with BeyerDynamic DT 880 PRO (250 Ohms). Can use them for hours without any discomfort.

You'll need to try them on for yourself. I don't know whether shopping is possible just now. Nor whether any shops near you have demo units available. But if they do, try some.

Some vendors allow you to buy, try, and return if you don't like the product. Some even pay for the return shipping!

The reviews don't matter much. There are few words anyone can use to properly describe sound. In the end you need to be your own judge.

I think AKG, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser they are all very good headphones.

I personally prefer the AKG because of there very neutral sound reproduction (you get what the piano delivers)
and they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn due to there special design.

One word regarding impedance: I am no expert here but I think the impedance should be rather low (50 Ohm or even less) to have a good powerful level of sound here.

Just playing my NU1X.
And love it. Cheers!
