I hate, hate ,hate all the built in demos and lessons and songs in a digital piano. They all do it but Nord.Thank you Nord!

I don't know if my piano has any demos, as I've never looked.

These are DEMO songs, a buyer should have a feeling that this piano sound would be great in good hands, and blame their moronic shriveled fingers, not the piano. Ang to give them a hope they can advance... laugh

That could be one reason why Nords are more expensive. Demos can't hurt much if you don't play them.

I think the reason is included in the name.

Demonstration.

Someone at the store (or you as the customer) can press play and listen to how your prospective purchase sounds. Same thing when you're selling a used unit to the guy next door. "This is what it sounds like."

I've never actually listened to or tried playing the demo songs that are built into my piano. I already know what my sounds like when I'm playing it and don't much care about anything past that.

But if I was going to sell it to someone else I might want to show him what the piano can do and that's a painless way to do it.

When I was gigging full time, I liked using the demos to hear my sound from across the room. Preeeeeety helpful.
