I am currently using an old wobbly X-stand, but NOT for much longer. I'm looking at the K&M Omega + Laptop stand. It's a bit expensive so I wanted to ask the forum before pulling the trigger. K&M OmegaK&M Laptop StandNot travelling around with it. It will be setup and left alone here in the house. Will be using for 100% seated use. Thanks in advance for any thoughts, AJ

The laptop stand will be in the way with a 88 key keyboard. You can angle it to the outside, but trust me, an iPad on the music sheet rest (I bought an extra wide), is better.

nicknameTaken, Thanks. I was thinking of something like this. K&M Stand + Laptop HolderThe Roland FP-30 is not as deep as the keyboard in this picture. My laptop is also a 2 in 1 and can fold all the way around like a tablet. Do you have this stand/holder? Thanks again, AJ

Yes, but I use it differently. I also read a LOT of sheets and the Triple Pedal. Having something in the way for my sheets would be no-deal for me.
Before I forget, I did remove the rubber foots and instead added gliders, to have a small bit less height, and a bit more of control when moving the instrument.
Once I did mod it to add caster wheels. While it did look great, it was too tall for me then, a high chair wouldn't fix it.

Thanks. So you like the Stand? I've read it is super solid.
Is there any adjustment on the feet to account for slight variation in the floor?
Thanks again, AJ

Thanks again, AJ No, there is not. Can only set height left / right every latch hole.

Thanks again, AJ To deal with uneven floors, my N1X came with some spacer pads of varying thicknesses. You could do the same yourself.

Nothing to do with stands, but to riff on the iPad comment, I've become a convert to tablet PC's for the piano to put on the music desk. It's much less unwieldy than having some awkward laptop stand. I always feel stymied by the iPad, especially the lack of useful multitasking ( Gruber has the same issues and explains them eloquentlyGruber has the same issues and explains them eloquently) and (for me, software development tools, but most don't care about that). Anyway, in short, I've found the Microsoft Surface Pro perfect for my piano needs. A Surface Book would offer more power if you needed it for beefy VST's and I use one as my primary work laptop, but for personal use I've found the Pro to be fantastic for music and "bring it on the plane and ferry" coding.
