I’m late to this conversation, but what is the recommended way to get the print edition? Unfortunately, I hate reading from a screen, which is why I rarely come to the Forums, so digital is out for me. Is the final decision that ExpressMag’s discount is worth the hassle? Should I just subscribe directly from the Pianist magazine website?

We'd, of course, prefer if you bought directly from our website as we can keep track of your order for you.

Hi all,

Issue 110 of Pianist is now out worldwide! British rising classical star Isata Kanneh-Mason features on the cover. Her brother, Sheku, played the cello at Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding last year. Also inside, we put a special focus on women composers. Plus, we have 5 masterclasses, part 2 of our new series Playing By Ear, 13 scores to learn, and tonnes more.

Get your copy here -> http://bit.ly/110pianist

Love the new issue! Fanny Mendelssohn's piece is just lovely, perfect for an intermediate player.

I love the graded scores too. I’m a beginner and there are usually 2 beginner scores each issue, and I learn to play most of them. It keeps my music repertoire broader than if I had chosen songs myself, which is a very good thing. I think the scores are chosen well.

Can’t wait to be able to play intermediate scores though!

A letter in the Reader's Letters section in the new issue 110 took me to the Catcerto.

(gratuitous cat video follows wink )

Do you know for how long the sale will last? I am still figuring out what issues to get.

And for some reason, Play Beginner is available only in regular HTML5 view (a set of relatively low resolution JPEG, actually), not as Interactive Tablet Edition.

And one more question: do you have plans to release digital versions of issues before #55?

I was so happy that Pianist Magazine finally released a Play Beginner special edition. I purchased it and am now super bummed that it is not interactive and contains no music tracks like the regular issues. frown

Sorry but this was not what I was expecting. I find the music tracks useful so this Play Beginner special edition isn’t particularly useful for me. I’m rather disappointed.
