+1 to that, cmb. PW and the ABF has been my piano brother/sisterhood, my teacher, and my personal cheering section, and for that I thank Frank and the many posters who show up, either for a season or the long run. It's all good.

This forum has been an integral part of my piano education over the past five years. I'm not sure I'd be where I am without it....the amount of things I have learned, and hopefully contributed to others, the music education, the motivation to learn a piece to recording-ready, and the exposure to classical music have been wonderful. Without this ABF, I believe my playing wouldn't be where it is today, and who knows, I might not have had the motivation to stick with it at all.

Along with thanking Frank, I would also like to thank the countless ABF members both further along the journey and those coming up the ranks as well for the tips, tricks, stories, laughs and motivation you have provided.

This forum is directly responsible in shaping my piano learning experience by turning me on to the Duane Shinn Course.

The Duane Shinn 52 Week Crash Course has been the impetus for learning how to play the piano and I'm very grateful I learned about it here.

God Bless,
David

Oh, thanks for resurrecting this thread, cmb! I don't post here often these days, but the ABF played a huge role in my piano studies back in the mid-2000s -- especially since back then I was still living in Japan and didn't have a community of music-people, and also didn't really have anyone to talk about music/piano with in English. That might not sound like a big deal, but PW and the good folks at the ABF filled a gaping hole for me. Congrats on 15 years, ABF! 3hearts
