Seven Days Walking

I wish Day 1 was available on Google Play Music, will have to wait. I think I'll buy the box set this fall when it's available.

Many new U.S. concert dates just announced!! My first choice is going to be Seattle (I was born there, and still have family there) on June 18th, but Washington D.C. and/or Chicago are also possibilities. Tickets go on sale March 8th. WOOHOO!!!

WOOHOO!! I just scored tickets for me and my Seattle relatives! (General sales don't start until March 8th, but the presale code is SEVENDAYS if anybody is interested...)

I may also buy some for Chicago or D.C... my daughter may be in DC for an internship this summer. Or I may wait to see if he announces any closer dates. (Why doesn't he ever play Cincinnati?!?!?)

That happened to me the first time for Seattle. I had to try it again, and instead of hitting "enter" I clicked on the little unlock symbol. Try that.

It seems ok at other places, but LA redirects me to here. The SEVENDAYS doesn't work frown

https://my.laphil.com/syos/performance/4360

I don't seem to have an issue with other locations, just LA.

Huh. Well, the general ticket sale was supposed to start today, so hopefully you'll still be able to get good seats. smile

The Meet and Greet tickets are sold out, but VIP are still available. They are pricey though. I'm going to the Walt Disney Concert Hall tomorrow night to see Yuja Wang, but I got the Orchestra View seats for that. Those seats are behind the orchestra, so that you are looking at the conductor's face, not his/her back.

I'm curious what those seats will be like. I've read reviews online from others saying they are great seats, and they are significantly cheaper than the front orchestra seats. If it turns they are good, perhaps I'll get them for the Einaudi show in June. But I'm worried a lot of seats will be gone before I get back from the Yuja show smile

I really like the new album, too. It is much more introspective and somber than his previous two albums, but still very beautiful. My favorite piece is the last one ("Low mist var. 2").

I just got home a little while ago from seeing Ludovico Einaudis Seven Days Walking tour. It was the first time I ever saw him. I am in love with his music and playing! He performed with a cellist and violinist. Looking forward to the box set of Seven Days Walking.

A few pics from last night. I'm hoping to find a list of all the pieces performed and in what order. I knew a couple. For the most part it was all from the Seven Days Walking albums, but he did do an encore performance of Nuvole Bianche. It was much slower though then what it is normally played at. It was really good though.

We had really good seats and I was amazed by his touch on the piano, from pp to ff. The string performers were great too.

Oh, those are great pictures! You really did have fantastic seats. I'm bummed because I have tickets for the show in Seattle tomorrow, but it was clear I wasn't going to be in good enough health to travel. frown Oh well, I gave the tickets to my family who live there, so at least they won't go to waste.

And today there was a livestream from KRCW in California of Einaudi and his accompanists performing live, so I got a taste of what the concert is like. smile
