UBB's own forum seems to be more mobile friendly, which could mean that it's a matter of configuration:

Hello

maybe this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Search_Console is useful to find the cause, a new version was just released...

This. No one in Google sits and plots 'Oh, they don't pay for the adds, we will make them disappear from the search'. This forum is not SEO optimized, from what I can see, as well as no RWD optimized, which affects it not being put on top of Google's search results. That's it, no conspiracy. CMA (Cold Minded Algorithm xD) is responsible for that, blame him.

I personally found and joined this forum recently by making a simple google search for something like "piano forum" or "top piano fourms".

Over the past few years I have noticed that Google search results emphasize commercial sites vs. informative forums and blogs.

Google's increasingly useless results have driven me to use other search engines. . .

That's almost a cyber version of natural selection in progress: if I want forum results, I now use Bing.
