OP rysowers 3000 Post Club Member Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 3,332 Olympia, WA	I was tuning a 50's vintage Gulbranson spinet yesterday and was surprised to see who had left a tuning record in this piano back in the early 1980's! It was a bit of a job because it had a 4 broken damper flanges (yep, vintage plastic - the elbows had already been replaced) so the action had to come out. The piano had obviously come from a drier climate because the pitch was about 445! She wanted it tuned to the pump organ she had in the same room but it was at 457 so I told her we better not stress out the piano. Not a bad playing little piano in the end. I am a few years older than him and began tuning quite young. In a seemingly infinite universe-infinite human creativity is-seemingly possible. I always assumed he was a super old guy because I've heard about the Randy Potter home study course for as long as I've been into pianos.
