The wagon hit a massive pothole and I fell off. eek
I'm afraid I won't be able to climb fully on until next year.
(a couple projects are consuming me to point that I was just playing a few scales just to check the MOYD box, which for me is not in the spirit of the MOYD).

I've been there, and actually, I was glad to at least be doing that. But if it turns into a guilt thing for you, then it's best to give yourself permission not to play. smile

I fell off the MOYD wagon. My niece has been hospitalized three separate times since Mother's Day due to mental health issues. I really hope this third time is the charm, as they say. Poor thing. It's been a hard road.

I think I'll re-pick this up in 2016 when things are better.

I'm still playing though and will still be around on the forums.

And maybe next year I can do a full MOYD start to finish.

Zerlina, all the best to you and I hope your niece has better times ahead. Play when you can, and there is no need to put more pressure on yourself. We will see you back next year.

Please excuse me for June 20-July 2. I also missed July 5 and 6.
We had a fabulous trip to London, Edinburgh, Munich, and Lucerne. The highlight of the trip was meeting up with the European piano party planned and executed flawlessly by SwissMS and GMajor. On July 3 SwissMS allowed me the pleasure of playing her lovely piano and it felt so good after the long absence. The piano party could have lasted all day...we enjoyed the mountain top experience so much. Check out the pictures posted in the forum on parties. There are so many highlights to this trip but the encouragement, community, and inspiration from the piano party made me come home with renewed energy to play.

On July 18th I was traveling so no practicing. and then today July 20th I forced myself to take a day off because I have pain in my hands from computer work and yesterday I made it worse after practicing piano. so as much as i wanted to....no practicing today! frown

The European Piano Party sounds wonderful. Would love to one day be able to attend but for now I`ll enjoy the pictures!

Was in SF on business all last week -- took the RD64, but was too busy to play on W/Th (7/22 & 7/23), so please dock me for those days.

Happy to be home, though SF was absolutely lovely (what little I saw of it). Found a fantastic Sichuan restaurant -- only 2 blocks from the hotel! -- in Chinatown.

Thank Goodness for MOYD!!

I've been dealing with a family crisis, requiring a huge amount of time caring for an elderly relative. If it wasn't for MOYD, I would have skipped half the days in the last four months. I won't say my practice was all that great, but I have had my butt on the bench, and MOYD is the reason.

Thank you.

ClasscLib- Welcome back! I will record your dates.

Oongawa - I hope all is well with your elderly relatuve. I know how tough it can be to help them through illnesses. I am glad MOYD has helped to keep your piano journey going!

Hi guys,

I will be away in August between 11th and 26th. I am visiting my parents for two weeks. I did try to arrange to practice piano somewhere but sadly it will not going to happen. Therefore, I must say I will be aways of piano bench at that time smirk

SwissMS, I need to be excused for July 25th - 28th: I've been away with my family.
July is usually my almost piano-less month of the year, because of vacation; even if I'm worried that my limited capacity will disappear, well it's not the end of the world and it's refreshing starting again!

torquenale - I hope you had a great family vacation! I am sure when you sit down at the bench, it will all come back to you.
