Just for yucks, since it's bookmarked on my browser, I went to Sweetwater's web site for the CP33. Per SW, it's no longer available.

So, for further yucks, I check Yamaha's US site, which still shows the normal CPs, which still show the CP1, CP5, CP50, CP33, and CP300.

Weirder still, the CP Stage page only shows the CP4, not the 40.

Just a dopey observation. Carry on.

I think you just need to click on product lineup:

I'm pretty sure I did that, and it only came up with the CP4, but yup, there it is.

Of course, for being as big a company as they are, with as many products, their website is pretty wonky...bush league, even...it's a crapshoot if you get the right page you're looking for, and may change, based on the links you used to get anywhere.

I've been checking in on the CP300. At some point Kraft had it, yet it's no longer listed as "available." Yamaha has not officially discontinued the CP300, per their website. I wonder how long it'll be before they release a - well overdue - upgrade. This instrument has been around for about 8 years; it could definitely use a face lift.

I must say that the CP33 is one of the best "go-to" stage pianos of all time. Sounds great, GH is great, incredibly easy to use, built like a tank, and only 39lbs! It is so worth the $799 I see them going for brand new. Im almost tempted to get one as a spare before they're all gone laugh

There's a guy who modded his CP33 to get a true digital output. (I'm probably just reposting something I saw here.)

Wow, at first look I thought it was the new the RD800 fix wink

Pretty amazing between the difference with true digital output. CP33 great workhorse. You can do anything to them including taking them apart and experimenting around like this.

Would anyone besides me like to see a CP37 ( pick a number, it doesn't matter ) , as in the next gen CP33, with digital outs like this, plus the CFX and S6 samples? Skip all of the extra voices from the CP4/40, I've got those handled on my XP-30.

Ya, I'm not fond of this sound one bit (either analog or digital). At least the CP4 sounds much better than this.

Hi Morodiene, So true that CP4 sounds much* better than CP33 , but not bad for 2006 technology. For some reason I just have a lot of respect for the CP33. Great DP that still keeps up with "some" of the latest-greatest offerings.

*WAY BETTER

Hi James, Not sure how to articulate it, but I can relate it almost the same way so many loved the P155. I know both are obsolete, yet still very enjoyable to play today and brought so much pleasure for so many years. CP33 (and P155) are so well proven over the years from beginners to professionals. Maybe the fact that these boards brought so much enjoyment that many have found a "connection" more than just playing an electronic instrument. I guess Im just being nostalgic while on the verge of a discontinued legend. I just think the CP33 and P155 served their purpose well to so many many people with such a wide variety of skills.

EDIT: I forgot to add that the CP33 was the first time I ever demoed a digital piano. I was at GC around 2006 and was blown away by the sound and action at the time but was not in the market for a DP. ....My first love perhaps?

I had a P80 then a P90. When I went to try the CP33, I thought it sounded too much the same as those previous models. I passed and found love in a FP4. Now it's the CP4.

Tell you what...

I just sat and listened to a bunch of DP's including the CP4 and I have yet to hear anything that will make me give up my CP5.

You might be right, but keep in mind that the CP4 is over 15 lbs lighter than the CP5. That alone is a gigging musician's dream come true.

CP5 is very nice for homes use as Dave intends to.
