I am struggling to find a hard copy of this song besides it being in the Piano Literature, Volume 4 by Bastien.

Been looking through google and online sheet music stores.

Any Help?

Thank you!

I saw this but I am looking to purchase a physical copy or digital copy for legal reasons.

You might want to buy all three volumes of the Handel works from Vienna Urtext Edition. The piece is probably somewhere in there.

What's wrong with the Bastien (Kjos) edition? What's the "legal reason" you're having?

Oh have to have a hard copy for her exam but I don't want her to spend $14 for the book for just 1 song. The rest of the book isn't a good fit for her.

I will check out the Vienna Urtext Editions.

Thank you!

Whatever they are, they are probably going to cost at least as much as the Bastien book, although the scholarship will be more refined.

You know what I mean...

The same price for something better would be fine if she'll use it. I'll keep up my own search.

Thank you all.

Poly is right. No words... not a "song". It is important that we use language properly, otherwise how will your students ever learn things properly. Take care of the details and a lot of problems go away.

Just my 2 sense...

Good grief. What's up with the people nitpicking the choice of the word "song"? I get that there's more precise terminology, but he/she was understood, right? Didn't the word used convey what was needed?

[/married to a linguist and some of it rubs off]

It's a common pet peeve among pianists. Correct your terminology or get used to us correcting it for you.

I don't think anything else needs to be discussed. Lets all just drop it.

Thank you.

Per IMSLP, this is public domain in some countries but not in the US, so using that copy in the exam would be a problem.

I like nitpicking, about terminology and grammar, AND copyright laws. <g>

What if my pet peeve is someone who constantly feels the need to correct other people?

You don't have a problem with pieces being called "songs"?

I've just never been able to stand it...sorry. Piece, work, composition...and you choose "song"?

Well, in a certain East Asian language, the words for "song" and "piece" are interchangeable.

thumb True as well in some other languages.

My bete noire is reading posts from people who have to inflict their painfully mundane pet peeves on others.

Oh, crud. Now I have to delete this post too.
