I enjoyed it just to have a giggle, but it was also helpful. My theory studies involve written form way too much, even when I try to add listening. This joke reviewed terms and concepts that I studied last year, and was done in an enjoyable way. If I were teaching musical form, I would actually have my students watch this. Beyond that - it's a hoot. laugh

It's like a smile/laugh, kind of like LOL. Teen text stuff haha. I'm too lazy to learn all the symbols for the faces/emoji here

That was funny, but I couldn't bring myself to watch more than about a minute and a half. Sorry!

It did, however, remind me of this:

I was wondering the same thing since it really sounds a lot like the LP that I used to play many, many years ago.

While funny, it's a misrepresentation of both sports and music. Take, for example, an NFL quarterback like Peyton Manning. He'll make $95 million over 5 years. That's approximately $1.2 million per game (not including post season appearances). Now, take Vladimir Horowitz, who made approximately $800k off of one concert in Carnegie Hall in the 1980's. In today's money, that's approximately $1.6 million for that same appearance.

Further, to simplify sports into such a "sportsing" category can easily be done for music.

"Hey, you were musicking pretty hard out there. A lot of music happened. Why do you think the critics didn't like your performance?"

"We musicked our best, and hit a lot of right notes, but the critics didn't hear it that way."

"What's your strategy for your next concert?"

"Well, obviously we need to music better. I think, if we can music in the way the critics like, and keep our fans happy, we'll be able to out-musick the competition and fill the concert hall."

"Now, back to the forums for ten hours of musick analysis." wink

Duhh, left corner of the top bar of the video shows PDQ Bach.
Peter Schickele's alter ego.

Now that I have looked him up, "Schickele Mix" was the radio program and they do get re-broadcast on some public radio stations from time to time.
