The sound comes out of the CVP-6xx. The iPhone is connected via wireless as an additional keyboard controller.

Not a bad idea. I guess they're also gonna make an iPad version that goes down to C-whatever? Not quite sure how that'd fit on the piano, though :\

I'm not convinced.

After all, the extra keys on the Bösendorfer grands are not really supposed to be played (mostly); they just add extra volume with the long resonating strings. I don't believe an iPhone could resonate like that.

My grand piano is a Yamaha C2 SG.
My other Yamaha is an XMAX 300.

Adjusting the key dip on those would be a technician's nightmare!

I'd rather be practicing wink

Truly amazing. Now we have a fake, fake piano.

Get ye to the digital heap with this drivel.

It can come in handy. There've been times when I accidentally hit the cheek-block when playing low-bass octaves. Not enough times to necessitate getting a $200K grand piano, but it happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I use my sub-bass G# when playing "Jeux D'Eau." Why shouldn't people with artificial pianos be able to play it?

This app, I think, was meant to be a funny novelty. But the sound doesn't come out of the iPad, it comes out of the Digital Piano's sound system. It's acting as a wireless remote keyboard controller.
