Hi everybody,
This Sunday, Feb 20th at 1:00 PM we are going to host a free concert on the Mason and Hamlin BB performed by the great pianist Bob Estrin.

We are thrilled and you will be too to hear Bob play selections by Schubert and Chopin.
Please join us for great music and refreshments. We will look forward to seeing you.

Please call (760) 471-0077 if you have any questions or need directions.

Art and Liz Olson whome

Sounds really good.
Pun intended.

I may be tied up but I'll try to go, even though it is somewhat unsafe to drive when you are tied up.

Thanks.

Control yourself Kenny. laugh Art will have another party when the CCs come in. Rick can then tune all four of them!

I would love to be there, but I have other things I'm doing at the same time. frown

Let us know when the CC comes in, though, ok? I'd love to try one out sometime. smile

Kudos to Bob! I just returned from Art Olson's store where we were given a wonderful performance by Bob Estrin of Schubert and Chopin on 3 different Mason & Hamlin pianos. Bob first played the Schubert G-flat Impromptu on a Model A, then followed that with a performance of the E-flat Impromptu on a Model AA. Finally, he did a "sandwich" set as he referred to it of 4 Chopin selections on a Model BB: the E-minor Nocturne (Op. Posthumous), the A-flat Ballade (No. 3), the B-flat minor Nocturne, and lastly the great G minor Ballade (No. 1).

In all a great selection of great classical pieces performed superbly. Also, hats off to Rick Clark who was in attendance. He prepped each piano and they all sounded great.

Thanks again to Art and his lovely wife Liz for hosting a great afternoon of wonderful piano music!

Thanks Art, it was quite a treat to see and hear Bob Estrin play in such an intimate setting. His Chopin would have made Chopin smile. And the way those pianos sounded made me want to book a tuning right away.

This was a great opportunity for anybody interested in hearing the range of Mason & Hamlin pianos. I was impressed with the power and authority of the A. It certainly is enough piano for almost any home. The AA was also very impressive and more powerful than I expected from a 190cm piano. The BB was powerful and balanced with a midrange and treble that sounded brighter and more colorful to me than the AA. I'm guessing that the AA will develop more sparkle in the treble as it is played in.

Lasting impression: I can't imagine anybody in any home of any size wanting a better piano than the Mason & Hamlin BB I heard today.
