Hi all,

I want to buy a complete analog synth. By complete I mean:

1) at least 1 OSC, LFO, VCF, VCO, and not sure if envelope
2) no fancy presets or memories

am I missing something ?, what do you recommend ?

Thanks

Why not get your feet wet with one of the soft synths that are on the market, like the Alesis Micron or the MicroKorg?

The Micron is very tedious to program, because it lacks buttons, but it sounds great. The MicroKorg has all the necessary buttons, but it has smaller keys and sounds a bit more dated.(YMMV) You also can't walk without tripping over a MicroKorg, so it's easy to pick one up used for $200USD.

It is VA but I have to recommend the Access Virus TI. I am on my second one. I had the smaller synth action version, but now own the 61 key semi weighted. They also make a great tabletop module.

If you want true analog starter, you might check out the Moog Little Phatty. The first video below has a guy using the Virus and Phatty. The other is a video of a guy recreating Pink Floyd on the Virus. The Virus comes with Pink Floyd patches.
