Can someone recommend some pieces by Mozart that sounds dark?
Could be something like Don Giovanni or piano concerto no.20...

Thx in advance

I always found the a minor sonata absolutely heartbreaking and intensely threatening in some parts.

The first movement of K332 in F major is pretty tormented... (and schizophrenic !)

Look no further than Requiem in D minor K626. It grabs you immediately from the beginning. smile

I certainly agree with the Requiem. I listen to it all the time and just don't get tired of it. It might even be my favourite piece by Mozart.

I think the Adagio in b minor is one of only two works for piano that Mozart composed using that key? Not very difficult- but oh it's so sad. That is to be played with deepest respect for the pain Mozart must have been feeling, IMO.

Lacrymosa. Second movement from A major concerto is also quite dark.
