Hi Mark! Please don't hate me! Sorry haven't posted but tried to be good. Forgot ending date, Hope not too late. Did play at least few minutes almost every day, sometimes few minutes 2 or 3 times spaced out on busiest.

Adult lessons Sats 10 AM since 1/17/09, play again Sat evenings after work. Only misssed 2 lessons last yr and 4 this (working miniature shows/mother hospitalized). Play few hrs on Suns and Mons, days off, 1 hr mornings before work. Love my 1918 Ampico Chickering grand so much have trouble passing without playing a chord or two!

Almost lost my mother. Went into hospital Mar 28 with pneumonia and a coma on Mar 30. Made 2 hr 15 m trip to Lexington, OH in 1 hr 45m to help my dad until Apr 11. Missed 4 days spent in hospital but actually later on her little keyboard helped with stress. At 84 she is doing much better but not out of woods, permanent heart damage.

Missed Mar 13-14 and Aug 14-15 doing miniature shows (sole-own Molehill Miniatures dollhouse shop 14+ yrs). Caught up little playing 2 hrs with my sister Aug 16.

My tuner/restorer friend Cameron Dean, Kingsport, TN came Sep 13-15. Immediately after arriving 1 PM he tuned my Chickering and a bit on my 1919 Duo-Art Weber upright. Then we played for 5 hrs! Wonderful! Tues we worked on/tuned 1 of my classmate's and my teacher's piano. I was in there helping repair too! After working all day we played 2 hrs. Wed he worked on another classmate's piano and church's organ. Just before he left late that PM, we went to see a friend's Ebersole upright player he was giving Cameron but is now giving me to restore. Already learned so much from Cameron but this was over the top! Now just have to find room for the Ebersole!

So, even though have not been at the keyboard every day, have tried to make up for it on the days I do get to enjoy. Best RAGards, Linda

Thanks Mark for listening to my tale of whoa! Pun intended.

Really only missed about 9 days total, so I am proud of myself. But have to admit this forum did remind me to keep on the keys. Thanks again, even my teacher notices the difference.

Well I started playing piano in March of this year practiced pretty much every day except for when out of town on business. Never did think of signing up here. When is the sign up for 2011 MOYD?

December, but I'm thinking of letting it go, unless of course someone else wants to run it.

Alas, Mark, I need to go on the excused list for Oct 30 and 31. There were half a dozen pianos on the cuise ship over the weekend, but they wouldn't unlock one to let me practice a bit. I jokingly reached in and played a few notes while one was being used for halloween photo opps, but I don't think I would call that "getting to the bench." It felt very weird to miss a day of practice.

Does the practise log website that Mark linked to in his OP no longer work?

It seemed helpful so I made an account, but I can't figure out how it works. I seems to me the site is broken. frown

Odd, guess I just don't understand how it works then.
When I log on it says I'm not on the list, how do I add myself to a list?

It really doesn't seem to work for me, I can type complete gibberish as account name when I log in and it takes me to the exact same screen I see when I log in with my real account info.
I tried making a new account, it said I was successfully added to the list, yet when I try to log in with it I get this same screen.

I give up, but thanks for trying to help anyway. smile

I need to be excused due to travel for December the 2nd, the trip is piano related though, but it's very unlikely that I'll get in any practise.

Sigh. I was doing so well, but had to work late last night and when I finally got home I was exhausted and just went to bed. No practice at all, but I did practice twice (for 45 min each time) the day before - does that count? ;-)

I didn't think so, but thought it was worth asking. There's always next year!
