Can someone please tell me if this is a USA model, or a Canadian model, or neither?

On Clavinovas, the only difference between models for different countries is the power supply, mains lead (which obviously has to match the local mains supply)and the safety standards they comply with, as shown on the name plate (although, apart from the power supply, there isn't really any technical difference between models whether they comply with FCC, Canadian or European (CE) regulations)

I was under the impression (but could be wrong) that Yamaha DPs are regional (NA, Europe, AMEA) so the identity of this unit would be NA (both Canada and US).

BTW:

I have a CLP-170PE and have auditioned every new high end Yamaha DP since purchasing this unit. I have yet to find one that provides a significant enough improvement in tone or touch that would compel me to upgrade.

The CLP170 is a pretty nice unit:

dual 6.3 + 1.2 + 3.9 speakers
3-level sampling
stereo sustain samples, key-off sampling, string resonance, iAFC
reverb, chorus, brilliance, dual, split
16 tracks, 223 songs recording
16 voice demos
50 preset songs

I agree. I own a CLP-170 Mohagany that I purchased in 2002. I just went to the piano store this past week and sat down at the latest 3 series CLP's and they seemed to possibly sound a little better if at all, but I was definately not going to upgrade at that point. I did however sit down at a U1-acoustic and was very very very impressed. I know this is apples and oranges though..

Thank everyone for the responses and information. Now I just need to figure out how to get it from Durham, NC, to Norman, OK.
