It's not really a question of neglect in the sense of not being performed as much as they should be. It's more that the great keyboard composers(Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)with the exception of Scarlatti were all German-Austrian.

In which the "great" part is a matter of definition (and taste...). Most people seem to know very little outside the few most well known composers anyway...

I think there is very little disagreement about who the greatest Baroque and Classical composers for keyboard were.

"Great" tends to correlate with the most well known which correlates with most performed which leads into more geatness....get the picture? With this cycle other good composers will inevitably be neglected.
