Finally I feel like I am ready to join the piano bar posse with my today's recording of Fur Elise. It's not perfect but I do enjoy playing it smile

Jazztpt - I loved everything about it! This song is lovely, your son’s accompaniment is just right, and your voice has a great rock ‘n’ roll edge to it. Very nice!!

Jazztpt that was so great. I wish we could hear everyone’s voice... maybe an audio clip on the profile. And to share something so deep with your son.... reminded me of Mark Eliahu, the Israeli Kemanche Player who performs with his dad. Just the connection, not the type of music!

Beemer – Body and soul This is the only song of your bunch of recordings I know. One of the very, very great jazz standards, played in a wonderful, dreamy manner. Thanks for sharing.

BillM – Mr President have pity on the working man This song is totally new to me, thanks for this wonderful rendition of yours. Well, pity ain’t enough, it doesn’t help if prices are up and wages down.

Jazztpt – Thank you for being there for me What a warm-hearted song! You are a very versatile musician and singer, and your son is providing a perfect accompaniment. You are quite a good singer, capable of singing long notes with some vibrato towards the end, just as they should be. Only very few notes were initially a bit out of tune but corrected immediately. I have listened to your recording 4 times.

Artur Gajewski – Fuer Elise Well done. But one must add that you are only playing the first lines of the piece with the main theme. The whole piece is much longer, and the interesting parts come after that.

Thank you for your comments. I haven't got to the second part yet wink

Just curious if I am recognizable in this. Just imagine me with hair and a bomber jacket listening to Judy Collins....

IosPlayer - that was really lovely Mike, that little motive that runs throughout the piece really ties it all together. Not sure it needs the string pad ,I think the purity of the piano sound and your voicings would carry it, not a criticism just my thoughts.
The ref to Judy Collins is a bit cryptic for me but funny enough I didn't know who she was until about a week ago , she came up when I was looking for 'Both Sides Now' by Jodie Mitchel (on YouTube). Another coincidence, she is in concert at a local theatre in a couple of days, in Durham, UK !

Artur Gajewski - glad you joined in, very confident playing with good tone, I look forward to hearing more from you, well done.

Thanks for listening and commenting, jazztpt. Those strings are just too much fun to use, and they do bolster the expressive curve, IMO.
