Do you know what type of connectors they utilise in order to purchase an extension cable?

or good alternatives with good low freq response? I don't need high volume at all

thx

They use RCA (also a stereo 3.5" jack but this is more for your smartphone...) Please note that all ports are on 1 speaker and there is a provided cable to connect to the other speaker (which has no ports)

I think he means the cable between speakers. I commented about them in another thread:

To be honest, I do not see the point of a longer cable, especially in an "L" configuration of the keyboards.

I like them. They have a response good enough for my needs. Even the bass is enough even if their response is specified around 50-ish herts. Some people would want to add a subwoofer but I find it unnecessary. I even remember somebody in a forum (most likely this one) saying that he has the subwoofer in his setup (I don't remember the monitors make) but does not use it most of the time.

thanks, I see you have the es8, I'm familiar with its sound, how do the e5 compare to its onboard speakers?

I use the e5's with the RD2000. The iLouds are meant to the ES8 but I still need to find a safe (maid proof) way to place them over the piano. I heard the ES8 through the E5's once, when I controlled it through the RD (they) are in different rooms. Without any doubt it sounded better than the original speakers. Same applies the few times I used the iLouds. However, I have to say I do not dislike the original speakers, I think they are pretty decent considering the size. And I am lazy so most of the time I use the ES8 that I just need to press one button and wait 5 seconds to play. I even learned to tolerate the clicks on the keybed I hope to get rid of when I have a few days off to work on it.
