New release of the ipad app two days ago - seems much improved.

I've been really committing to the Christmas Challenge and have now scored 100% on 217 pieces (note you get one piece scored for the piece itself, another if you complete all the chopped sections with 100% and another if you complete all the minced sections) so in reality a lot less - except playing every section of a chopped piece at 100% takes a long time. I joined Josh Wright's class after he posted a video about it and encouraged everyone to help his class catch the leader. We are currently in second place with just short of a 1000 pieces learnt between us. When he posted that video the other class was already over 1000 - but we are catching up slowly. I encourage everyone here to take a look at it and have a go.

The net result is that my piano marvel practice minutes just a few days into December is insanely high (currently ranked No 1, but I have been swapping that position with the second place person ever since I first got close. Have to do some house maintenance this afternoon, so expect to loose the first place very soon)

I'll have to take a peek after my Tuesday RCM exam. Sounds interesting.

I've just downloaded it, but can't get it to work. Whenever I launch the app (on a win 10 laptop with Chrome) it tells me Chrome isn't detected on the system. It then puts me into an endless loop of 'do you want to download' etc., I originally thought it may be due to my account not being validated, but all that's sorted and didn't fix it.

Anyone seen this before ? I've sent a message to their support.

Just to make sure it isn't something else on in your Windows, can you do a little test and try this in Firefox? (If you don't have Firefox, download it from www.Mozilla.org.)

Thanks, I got it to work eventually with the help of PM tech support by updating Windows, but I'm not convinced that it's really fixed as I had the same problem today and had to reboot my laptop. It's possibly my flakey old laptop.

I've also downloaded Firefox and will have a play with that tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestion.

@AndyOnThePiano - If you suspect your PC is at fault, have you considered doing a 'reset' of Windows-10 ?

A reset of Windows-10 will keep your personal files (if that's what you want to do) but will remove all software and drivers you have installed, eliminates any configuration or registry change you have made, and then reinstalls Windows-10 to it's default settings. (You would then need to install any Windows updates / patches that might be outstanding.)

With a fresh 'clean' install of Windows, you would then install Google Chrome followed by Piano Marvel.

Thanks all.

The problem returned again and was driving me crazy but I think that I've finally got it sorted. I think that it's related to having a VPN running in the background. So far whenever I turn it on, PM fails, whenever I turn it off, PM runs okay.

If this hasn't fixed it, then I'll try Firefox (I now have it installed) and reinstall Windows.
