I own FP90, comparing to my parents acoustic baby grand keys personally I find pha-50 keys surface very slippery.
The acoustic one is the classical glossy surface that in some manner catch your finger without being sticky. No lateral movements, only up-downward.
I simply love it. Never liked plastic 'ivory' like finishes, tried both kawaii and casio.
Maybe it's just me, I seldom sweat and I don't leave in a wet climate.

Well crap....I'm gonna self destruct then.....Better set up a couple time lapse and video cams to record it for posterity.

Hi,

hopefully i will receive my HP605 during next week,

Could any of the HP605 owners here be so kind to answer the following questions:

1. Would there be a disadvantage soundwise placing the HP605 with the back close / straight to a wall?

2. Where exactly are the speakers located?

3. Is there a pianoworld forumthread or another place / forum on the web, where one could discuss and / or exchange Piano Designer files?

Thank you in advance

Yes, but if you play around with the distance, you can get a reasonably good sound with a gap of just two or three inches.

Under the main cabinet pointing down, and in the top cabinet pointing forwards. If you read the promotional material you'll see a diagram showing the layout.

Do you have a link to the diagram? I could only find some sort of schematics for the LX-17. I assume speaker location in HP6ß5 differs from that ...

While waiting for the HP605 to arrive, i have a question regarding the Piano Designer app.

I noticed that there are only 2 different setups for the HP605 in the app,

Is it possible to load the setups for other Roland Pianos (GP, LX etc.) into the HP605?

And ... are there any HP605 owners willing to share their custom setups / Piano Designer files here?

I've had a quick look online but can't find the illustrations that I saw when the model first came out. You'll just have to wait a week - sorry. Before you get too involved with set-ups, may I suggest that you wait and see how you get on with the standard sounds, as you may be pleasantly surprised.

Since I can't test out LX-7 and LX-17 in my city, can some of you summarise how they compare to each other and to HP605? I'm thinking about LX-7 because LX-17 is almost twice as expensive but I might change LX-7 to LX-17 in the future, who knows. Is there really a problem with frequencies on LX-7?
