Hello,

First of all, This is my first post on the forums smile I have been looking around here till my account got approved, And now i know some more things about the forum laugh.

Iam looking for a digital piano which has weighted keys, Because my keyboard (Casio ctk-3000) is not really a keyboard which has the best piano feel. Ive been looking around and this are the digital piano`s which i came up with:

Casio px-130 (Which is my primary choice, I really like casio :)).

Yamaha p95: People say that the Yamaha P95 doesnt have piano feel keys, They are to soft. Is this true?

Korg sp-170/250: Heard that the Korg sp-250 is better then Korg sp-170 (better keys).

I also found some 76 Keys Digital piano`s but i think there are not good for playing classical songs (Beethoven, chopin etc)
76keys:

Yamaha np-30/31 And the Yamaha np-v60/80.

Those are my choices. Which sounds the best as a piano? Are there any other digital piano`s which are in the price range of 0-700euros? I dont need any whistles and bells, Just a piano sound and some other sounds like Organ.

Thank you!

Sorry for some grammar mistakes, my primary language is not English (Its Dutch)

Hey, I'm not an expert, but I’ll give you my two cents. I own a Casio PX-130 myself.

The problem with the 130 is that the sound from the speakers come from the back of the piano. This causes the piano to sound dull en muffled. I’m not a big fan of this piano at the moment as you can read in one of my posts. I expected more.

Definitely go for the 88 keys.

The Yamaha NP-30 doesn’t have weighted keys, so really, don’t bother. The keys are smaller and the action is terrible. If you want to play the piano, you need weighted keys so the transitioning from a real acoustic and digital piano is more comfortable.

I am Dutch too, so if you have any questions… go ahead.

To be honest, save up some more money. 1300+ would be a better fit for you.

How do you have it positioned? I have my 330 about 2 feet away from a hard wall facing it. How does it sound with headphones?

Answering the original question:
You've identified the main choices: PX-130, P-95, Korg 170/250 from there it seems to be largely a case of personal preference as to which to buy in this price range.

Facing a hard wall as well. Compared to its predecessor- the PX-120- it sounds more muffled and closed because the speakers are at the back instead of on top of the keyboard like the PX-120.

I am using a cheap headphone at the moment. The main reason I am looking for a new one, as stated in my other post, is that the sound is terrible; very thin and stingy. It annoys me and it keeps me from enjoying my playing.

It's personal preference. For an 88 weighted, in terms of both sound and feel, I like P95 best, SP170 next, then PX130. (Though I haven't played the SP-250.)

In terms of feel, the unweighted 76 boards you mention are playable, but not as good as any of the weighted boards. To me, the NP-30 sounds quite good (at least with headphones), the V80 far worse, and the V60 still worse than that.
