Is this a good model? Need advice quick!Is it worth it or should I go for the YDP 160?

I could not find the age of the CLP550. But its user manual has a MIDI Implementation Chart dated June 1988.

If this piano dates from that era, then it's ancient. Skip it.

You're right on, Mac...it was introduced in 1988.

Indeed an oldie...one of earlier AWM models, with only 16 note polyphony.

The 550 was built in 1988, over 20 years ago.

I might be usable as a MIDI keyboard controller and maybe the audio amp and speaker are still good. So it might be usable with a computer. I certainly would not pay much for it, maybe $150.

Thanks for your quick responses. Wow only a 16 note polyphony?!? That is the info I was looking for-I couldnt find that on the net. The seller states it is in excellent condition and it is a very reasonable price, but I think the YDP 160 may be the better choice.
