Gluing plastic hammers on Roland KR-377 - 10/17/20 06:15 PM
Hey friends! I just bought a used Roland KR-370 (super old, I know). My parents have the same one and I'm excited to have my own. However, 9 of the key hammers are broken. I'm familiar with the problem and how to replace them, but I'm not super excited about buying all new hammers (though I'm prepared to if necessary).
My question is, depending on the hammer damage, is it possible to just glue the plastic-metal hammers back together/reinforce them with epoxy/superglue/etc?
I have a lot of extra broken hammers from my parent's piano as well, ranging from slightly cracked to sort of destroyed. If glue would work to support a crack, but not put one back together, that's an option.
What do you think?
