What are your favorite metronome apps? Which digital features do you really like?

I like Pianoteq built-in metronome - it works and the best feature is I don't have to have another app.

I typically use the one built into the digital piano. Otherwise, I'll use Pro Metronome for Android.

I haven't found one that works as well as the one built into my piano, but I'd like to.

I've been eyeing this app I saw on Discchord, but I'm not willing to shell out ten bucks... yet.

Pro Metronome on iOS. There is a free version that you can test first.

Whatever app you use try having the clicks represent beats two and four (in common time) instead of one and three (or every beat).

You'll find it more difficult at first and your sense of time will (or should) improve.

Time Guru and LiveBPM have interesting and useful features that normal metronomes don't have

Please clarify. I do not understand. My English is bad.

I think he is suggesting this for music in 4/4 (and 2/2?)

One (-). Two (click). Three (-). Four (click).

...and not the normal:

One (clack). Two (click). Three (click). Four (click)

It will perhaps train and encourage you to think in terms of whole bars or more, rather than single beats. It gives more room for the music to breathe.

Thanks for the tips! Which which features do you find useful? Lol whistle

Time Guru Metronome - Visually I like Time Guru for blues/jazz, it kinda works the way I think when I'm mixing and matching different bass lines and riffs between the left/right hands.

Live BPM Beat Detector - Detecting the current tempo from live music is a pretty cool feature.

I've got something call B'Metronome for Android. Very simple, good user interface and no ads.

Yes that's a great metronome, I've been using Pro Metronome for about a year. But part of the reason I started this thread was that I was curious about other options.

What I like about Pro Metronome:
- 3 ways to see the beat: pendulum, beat markers, bar counter shape
- training/practice mode
- set/play lists
- sub-divide beats + polyrhythms
- enhance or diminish certain beats
- landscape and portrait mode

A couple of things I wish it did:
- larger visual display in portrait mode
- setting for a traditional pendulum
- setting for an elastic pendulum (slows down / speed up)
- showed the bar counter shape in landscape mode

Thanks James, I hadn't seen Touch Metronome before. It's a pretty sweet metronome. This might be my new favorite! It's one of the better designed metronome apps I've seen.
