I'm new to jazz and I'd like to hear a few suggestions for jazz standards. Here are my favorites so far:

1. Misty (Erroll Garner)
My favorite version of Misty played by a trio with Doug McKenzie (piano).

3. Tenderly (music by Walter Gross and lyrics by Jack Lawrence)

Anything by Bill Evans and most Keith Jarrett, Hank Jones, and Dave Brubeck. Not sure how to do videos, either, but lots on YouTube.

I wouldn't consider "Danny Boy" a jazz standard but it's a lovely tune. I play it paired with "Shenandoah" with both being arrangements from a book by Preston Keys called "Simply Beautiful Piano". FWIW, there is a beautiful version of "Shenandoah" by Keith Jarrett as well.

Two songs that I really enjoy playing as well as hearing are "Darn That Dream" and "I Fall In Love Too Easily". There are recordings of both sung by Chet Baker and while I find "Darn That Dream" to make a better instrumental than the vocal version I really like Chet's singing of "I Fall In Love Too Easily".

A tune that I like to pair with "Misty" is "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered". They just go together in my mind, somehow.

A final song I'll mention is "The Shadow Of Your Smile" by Johnny Mandel.
