Piano World Home Page
To my knowledge (or confusion), there are three different sets of recital participation medals floating around. I may be a bit confused but there are the little medals that Kawaigirl and Van provided, then there is Coppers red dot medal as well as Dragons little grand piano medal!.

Could we possibly have one medal that represents each recital we have participated in as well as one simple location everyone can get them at to post in their signature?.

I have noticed only a small percentage of the recital participants who are displaying any of the medals most likely due to some confusion on which one to use and where to get them.

What are your thoughts on using just one medal as well as posting up a link on where to get them?. Also, should we keep one of the three current medals or make up a new standardized one?.

I know each one of the medals represents something to do with participating in the recitals in a slightly different way and I'm NOT trying to take anything away from anyone but rather just want to simplify the process.

What do you think?
Super Hunky,

I use the medals that Kawaigirl and Van set up exclusively for the online recitals. I believe there are two different ones, one for counting recitals from one to nine and a gold colored one for multiples of ten.

I made my piano medals as a way to recognize that I have participated in a live recital. Since I've played in eight online recitals and three live recitals for my teacher, I have eight of the small red dot medals and three piano medals in my signature.

Once we are all in agreement on what the medal etiquette should be, then we would probably want to have Frank load the appropriate images on Piano World, so we can all link to the same images.

Rich
Yes, I agree Rich. They would be easier to locate that way.

So, the way I understand it...

.Red medal = each online recital participated in.

.Gold medal = every 10th online recital participated in

.Mini grand piano = one for each LIVE recital you have participated in

.Order of the red dot medal = ?? (Surviving yet another recording session but do we display these medals as well??).

Also, where is the link for everyone to obtain these medals?
SuperHunky,

I sent the files that I have to Frank. I'll let you know when I hear an update.

In the meantime, here is the original thread with Van's medals.

Thanks DPP.
Thanks for the links. Everyone (for now) will have to have a host for these images..[I use ]www.photobucket.com] but there are lots of them out there.
Much Mahalos, Mr. S-H and DPP. I finally picked mine up, and it was an ordeal looking for them. Hopefully, I'll get the live one, next month!
There's no Adonis award.
Dang, it never occurred to me that the ecitals are beauty contests... laugh

Nor is there an Ignoramus award, alas.

C'mon, Gyro, try it once. You don't have to attach a medal. It's just a sign of being in the club.
