How to Practice Piano -- New Book - 11/14/05 09:40 PM
By surfing the net, I came across a book online on How to Practice the Piano. It is written by Chuan C. Chang and is available free online. If printed, it comes to 300 pages, the author says. The author is a pianist and a scientist. He apparently is publishing this book free online as a public service.
I read a bit of it and was impressed. The author states that he is not really writing anything new, rather he is compiling the best ideas of piano teaching (like always practice "hands separately" not "hands together" when learning new material). I was wondering what you teachers think of this text. Links are below (the preface gives a good introduction to the idea behind the book).
