Are there any easy/intermed Prokofiev pieces?

So on the same scale as say chopin nocturnes...if
that helps

I really love the sound of the slow movements of the sixth and seventh sonata's and was looking for something that had that same kind of feel/sound.

There are some pretty movements from Romeo and Juliet that he transcribed for piano which aren't impossibly difficult.

Take a look at the Sarcasms. They're not a piece of cake, but they're not killers either. They should provide a pleasant challenge.

I'd also have a look at the Visions Fugitives. Some of them are easy, some are more difficult, but all of them are quite short.

You did not look at a list of his piano works before asking this, did you!

Visions Fugitives, Romeo and Juliet, and a little harder, the Scherzo from Sonata no.2

There is of course his "Musiques d'Enfants" (Music for Children - don't now if that's the original title, I have them on a french CD), op.65. They are easy intermed. and very prokofian.

No where near the easy/intermediate level.

No.10(I don't know the name)is beautiful. It has some very large rolled chord in the left hand and is rather long, but otherwise not as difficult as much of Prokofiev's music.

He's got a LOT of small piano pieces from his early life, check out his 10 pieces for piano, Romeo and Juliet, Tales Of The Old Grandmothers, and 4 pieces (he's got a lot of 4 pieces sets.)Visions Fugitives is quite difficult to really play well, it's not too easy.

By the way, if we're on the topic of Prokofiev, I'd like to know which piano sonata of his is the least challenging.

Some find No. 2 the easiest, others No. 3. You'll probably have to find out yourself which one fits you better.

What about No.4? Do you consider it one of the harder ones or easier ones?
