Not strictly piano related (well there is a piano in it), but will be appreciated by many here, I'm sure.

"Atonal" is not a good term. If anything, what's actually occurring is a supersaturation of the tonal impulse.

I was alerted to this by another online music forum. For those of us who "get" the inside jokes, it's great!

Love it--thank you!

And the closing of the fallboard for the John Cage moment makes it totally piano related!

Wow, I love that!

At one point in my misspent youth, I played the banjo competitively. These days I generally can't abide the sound of old time or bluegrass music (it just sounds trashy to me these days), but intelligent bluegrass like this puts a smile on my face.

Atonal bluegrass... that might get me to take up the banjer again.

I love it -- I immediately thought of a little alternative lyric:

It was hard to sing if you rehearsed,
impossible by sight.

But who the heck would notice,
if you didn't get it right?
