Sight reading MIDI software - 02/01/11 04:55 AM

Does anyone here use a computer program interfaced with a MIDI keyboard or digital piano to learn and practice sight reading?

If so, please post your preferred program.

My daughter could benefit from such a thing, as well as I. So far I have found several online, but haven't tried anything yet. First I need to get a MIDI interface for one of my PCs.

Thanks for replies.

P.S. My recent finds:

This one is a bit too pricey for my budget (would rather save for a new piano some day!):

Finally a long list here I have to parse:

I have personally never used such a program, but many people seem to like Synthesia...

I've used Jalmus. Easy to set up and interfaces well with both the midi and PC. Others have recommended prestokeys, I've downloaded it but haven't been able to get it to work with my midi.

I think the app is called sightread4piano though.

Anyway - that might be worth a try!

You are responding to someone who was last online here more than a year ago.

He's just advertising. He posted info about the app in 5 different topics immediately after creating his account...
