My piano was made by "James M. Starr & Co." in the 1890s and I plan on getting it restored/rebuilt to use as my primary piano. I came across an ad from 1906 describing a piano built by the company, that is similar to mine. (I will list a link to this below). It has the listing price for the piano at $450. Does this confirm that the Starr piano company built good quality pianos? Have you ever heard of the company?
