I liked these very much. Are you using the Dapogny transcriptions ? I personally find Morton very difficult to play effectively, much more so than ragtime or Waller, whose Alligator Crawl you also play well. There is something quite awkward about many of Morton's figurations, or so it seems to me. The recording treble tended to overpower the bass in the Morton but not so much in the Joplin. Perhaps you simply play Morton basses more lightly. In any case very enjoyable.

Quite good barrelhouse rag playing, foster! You're strong enough to maintain the energy and pulse at these breakneck speeds, and it's exhilirating to listen to. Having said that, I wouldn't want to listen to this style any more than 10 minutes or so -- the relentless stride bass wears out its welcome for me after that. Just out of curiosity, is there any interest, or a place to play these rags, in Italy? Here in the US, there are entire local chapters and major venues for ragtime piano (I believe the biggest is in Joplin, MO). But I've never heard of anything in Italy -- opera, yes; but rag, no!
Just a minor note that the Joplin Society is based in Sedalia, MO which is quite far from Joplin, MO. They have a big festival every year and I've thought about going down this year to check it out. The Scott Joplin society has a website at scottjoplin.org with details.
