Hi everyone,

I know this isn't much of a discussion topic but I'm currently on the long hunt for a speed tuning lever by Hale. I've been looking for years and they never pop up on eBay so I thought I would inquire here. If anyone's got one kicking around they wouldn't mind parting with, name a price! --

Cheers
🙏🏼

I actually ordered this from them and two weeks later asked why it had not come yet... turns out it is not in stock so I went with a different lever. Weird that they haven't changed to "out of stock" -- thank you for looking into it! Appreciated

Hi Steven,

That would be fantastic! -- do you know if it's the original Hale version or the Newer Schaff one? The Schaff's tend to break from what I hear and are about an inch or so shorter. I'm Still interested either way.

Thanks!

The fact that he is willing to sell might be a critical review!

I have one. I use it exclusively. Although I prefer to use a smooth pull, the extra weight comes in handy on occasion. Like in the treble if the pins are a bit tight, I will use a smooth pull to pitch, and then while still keeping the tension on the pin, give it a measured, muscled jerk for the overshoot, rather than trying to determine the overshoot by what I hear.

But that is not what this hammer was made for. The idea was for balance when tuning on a grand to get from one pin to another quickly.

Mine is the original from Hale. Steve Fairchild model I believe. Very rugged, but too heavy for me to use on a regular basis. I will sell it, unless you already have acquired another. Use my email below to contact me privately if you like.
