Hello:

I would appreciate any reference materials you can suggest regarding pedaling techniques, their effect on tone quality, etc.

Many thanks . . . Linda

Keyboard Kaleidoscope http://www.digevent.com/ has a section on pedaling.

If you enjoy comic books, Peter Corriaggio has a 4 comic book series on 'The Art of Piano Performance'. One of the titles is 'Pedaling - The Soul of the Piano' ISBN 0-8497-6215-4. The books are $4.50 Cdn.

Please excuse me. I have to go practice

This is a wonderful book and students love it (both youth and adult)! His others are also very clever.

Thanks, newpianoplayer and cranky woman!

The Corriaggio book sounds like fun. I'll check out the Keyboard Kaleidoscope offering as well.

I appreciate your help. thumb

Two books come to mind:

1. Artistic Pedal Technique, by Katherine Faricy (Frederick Harris Music Co.)
2. The Pianist's Guide to Pedaling, by Joseph Banowetz (Indiana Univ. Press)
