I am looking for a few beginner scales to practice. I've looked for freebies on the internet, but found non. If anyone could email me some, I would appreciate it.
Money is tight, but when I can I will go get a book of scales or something.

If you know your key signatures then you don't really need abook - especially not for beginner scales. Once you know your key signatures (check on your circle of fifths if unsure), you can just apply them to the scale and away you go. I would start with some basic white majors if you're only a beginner. Try them hands seperately one octave and when you've mastered that, hands together. If you manage that then you could always try doing more octaves. The basic fingering for white majors is-

One Octave: RH - 123,123454321,321.

LH - 54321,32123,12345.


Two Octaves: RH - 123,1234,123,123454321,321,4321,321

LH - 54321,321,4321,32123,1234,123,12345

what is a key signatures and circles of fifths ?

I am so new to pianos. I just bought a new baby grand before I even knew how to read music. I just got done reading how to read music. Thats how new I am.

Do yourself a favor and buy book one of a standard graded theory course. I use the Neil Kjos Thoery books but I can't find a link right now. There is also a book called "Music Theory for practical people" that is real nice. Oh yeah, and by all means get a teacher, you will thank yourself later.

I agree with pianocliff, i would stongly urge you to get a teacher if you wish to develop musically.
