Just an FYI for anyone interested in the last minute...

I'm flying out to Long Island to do two workshops on Saturday at the Frank & Camille's in Carle Place (371 Old Country Road). I just found out today there is still room in both workshops for last minute attendees, so if any of you in the NY area are interested...

I'm doing a free teachers-only workshop from 10:00-11:30. We'll discuss integrating a creative, lead sheet approach to piano into current classical pedagogy.

From 1:30-5:00 I'll be giving my 3.5 hour Play Piano in a Flash workshop for adults who want to get rolling in a non-classical, chord based style of playing. (Any teachers coming to the morning class are encouraged to stick around to sit in on the afternoon workshop.) Not to be coy, but I honestly don't know what the cost is on that one, if any. You'll need to call the store to find out.

You'll need to call the store at 516-333-2811 to register for either, and they can give you particulars on directions, etc.

Sorry for the late notice, but I didn't hear until today whether there was space left.

Hope to see any of you there. It would be fun to put some faces with the names here on the forum! smile

I'd love to, if I lived in the area. Alas, southern Virginia is a bit distant.
