On Sunday I am having a Piano Recital with my 60 students. Any good little speeches or jokes you can advice for my little monolog?

Four score and seven years ago today,...

hmmm.. lets see.. you could tell them the piano is 1/2 step off pitch and so everyone will need to transpose his or her work accordingly...

If you don't talk to your children about equal temperment, who will?

for 60 students, you have to teach 6.5 - 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, either half hour class or 1 hour class.

60 Students sounds like an awful lot for one recital. laugh You are brave! laugh Have you thought of dividing the recital into two so that it's not so lengthy for your students and parents? Little ones have difficulty sitting longer than 30-40 min.

Here's what I cover in my recitals before students play:

Welcome
Thanks for the support (parents and recital facility)
upcoming events
a reminder of concert ettiquette (no applause between pieces if a student plays more than one, bowing, etc.)
cell phones and pagers turned off

Then I turn the time over to the students who follow the printed program. The parents and relatives are there to here their little darlings, not me telling stories laugh laugh

Thank you everyone! First there will be three recitals around 50 minutes. Also I teach some lessons in groups 3-4!
