It would be way better if you turned on custom avatars. The stock avatars are lame.

I thought it was on?

Go to your profile, choose Edit Profile, then click on the link "Select a Different Avatar Image".
Type in the full path to your avatar (size should be 48x48 pixels) and click "Set URL".

Your avatar should show up in the choices, then simply click on it and click Select This Avatar.

Can you please explain what you mean by "full path"? I put in the full URL path to the image in my own webpage but it came up with a "broken link" in the picture. What formwat should the avatar be? I made mine 48x48 .bmp Is this OK or should it be a jpeg or gif? Thanks.
