I'm looking into the possibility of adding a calendar to the forums.
We could use it to post forum member party dates, special events, birthdays, upcoming concerts, etc.

See an example HERE

Thoughts, opinions?

Excellent idea, Frank. A calendar is a great visual reference.

You might find yourself needing to set guidelines regarding what is and what is not fair game for a Piano World calendar. Do you already have some ideas along those lines?

I'm open for suggestions.
I will probably have to control it myself, so posts to the calendar will have to be sent to me first.

Thinking of Forum Member get together's, upcoming concerts, etc.

Ideas?

a great idea, frank. pianoworld parties and concerts performed by forum members are the only items i can think of as appropriate, though.

but hey, i like the birthday listings idea. the calendar is worth it just for the prospect of getting lots of birthday greetings! laugh

put me down for feb. 8th.

I like the idea also.

My birthday is 10th September.

In addition, (shameless plug) the choir I'm singing with will be doing an Evensong at the Episcopal church in Colonial Williamsburg the third weekend in October. I can't wait! smile

I love it! I was born on November 11.

Maybe we can list some composer birthdays and some famous pianists' birthdays too.
