Piano tech is a short way of saying piano technician - the people that tune, service, and repair pianos. Hopefully, the piano tech does all this to your piano and not to you. Ah, the vagaries of syntax in the English language.

No my dad taught Engineering. He can help with digital signal processing but I suppose he won't be able to help anything music-related =) American schools are also an option. My cousin who was raised in Singapore got accepted to a university in America on scholarship. That's pretty common, I used to know a bunch of Singapore natives when I lived in dorms.

I will try to make it work out but that is getting real close to commencement at the college I work for and I usually end up having to work extra hours during the two weeks leading up to it.

Terry:

You are so right about me being at the piano much of the time. I hope *It* (my piano) doesn't actually absorb me into its wood fibers. (heheheheheha heh)

The recital and gathering at Larry Bucks' sounds super! It'll be great seeing everyone and getting to meet some new Piano People.

We'll be there!

Jeanne (And Lloyd, too)

Hi Terry--
Thanks for the kind words. Not sure about the 30th yet. John Williams may not be able to make it. I'm working on it and will keep you pasted, err, ah, posted.

I plan on coming.

For those who haven't been to one, the recital is a great time.
And I'm looking forward to the party at Larry's place (thanks for hosting it Larry).

I have put the date in my book and if I can at all find a way to make it, I will. Being a newbie, it would be great to put people in place of some of the screen names that I see everytime I visit the forum. Thanks Terry, Ax and Larry.

Terry, I just got your PM and, no, I didn't see the other email you sent me.

The 30th is on my calendar. Hope to see everyone then. Jeremy, hoping you can come lay down some chords, again.

What's the lay of the land for 18 month olds smile ? My wife's Easter is near/on that weekend. That's the only question mark above my head. It may only mean I'll be solo.

Maybe Frank can move this thread over to the meetings area. Its been a couple days and I had to page back to dig it up on this forum. Just an idea.

Thank you Chris W 1. Hope you can make it. How is your jazz improv going?
As Art Tatum said as he pointed to the keyboard, "It's all there waiting to be played" Sure Art!!!
Hope to see you Chris and all of the rest of the fine folk, including our fine leader Rockin Frank B.

Chris, I did post to the Members Gatherings, Meetings...etc Forum but asked for replies to be placed in Pianist Corner. I think quite a few members don't always check out what's happening that far down on the front page.

I can't answer on the age related question. Axtremus and Larry Buck will hopefully make it back to this thread sometime soon. Last I checked, Larry Buck had made it over to the coffee room and was renewing "old" acquaintances with Frank!!

I'm glad you've placed the date on your calendar.
