I'm ready,.....how about you guys?
Right now I'm making plans to go to Germany for about 10 days to visit a few factories, so I'd like to get some idea of interest ASAP. (BEFORE I buy non-refundable plane tickets!)
This time we have to remember to take the piano pileup picture or nobody will believe we really had a party. :p
Call me at the store if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Cathy thumb

Cathy, you just pick a date and demand that everyone within a 100-mile or so radius attend.

I *guess* we can do it your way and ask when it's convenient for people.

No preference on dates for me. Just let me know what's convenient . . .

Well, we could do a Halloween-themed party on 10/29 or 10/30. My playing is always good for a fright!

Actually, I've been working a simple little Gr. 1 piece called "Spooks" - my 3-year old nephew gets a kick out of it.

I'd prefer that we avoid 10/14 through 10/23 as I'll be at piano camp on these dates.

Thanks, Cathy! thumb

Hi, Linda! If your playing is frightful, then I might as well just hang it up. Or whatever you say when you quit playing the piano. (Close the fallboard?)

I'm thinking that Halloween weekend includes lots of parties, which may make it hard for those of us with little kids. But it's not a bad suggestion, and if that's the date that Cathy decides on, I surely will try to attend. I *think* that my only definite no-go weekend is Nov. 4 through 6, but I'll have to synch my schedule with the rest of my family's and see what's available.

Oct 14 or 15 would work great for me. I'm already planning on being in D.C. that weekend!

Beethoven anyone?

Even if the PW party is held on a different weekend, I hope you'll come in and visit.

Yay!!! I'm lovin' that idea!

As it stands as of right now, we are looking for a early/mid-October close on our house. We'll hopefully move in soon after that. I can't believe that it's possible you all could see my piano at Cathy's AGAIN!!!!

Oh, and the weekend of 10/15-16 would be perfect because my fall break starts on the 14th.

But probably sometime in Nov. would be best for me. Before the snows, before the holiday traffic, but after my life settles down some.

The weekend of October 22nd I'll be in NYC but any other weekend in October or November should be okay.

Any weekend but Oct. 1st works for me. I couldn't attend the first gathering, so really hope to make this one.

Gee, I even might be able to make it down from Boston! Just waiting to hear that the pianos I am interested arrive there. Wanting to hear a 48 in C Bech next to a 52 inch and a Grotrian upright as well. Sooner than later, I hope! It would be fun to be part of the party too.

Looks like I'll be leaving town on the evening of the 15th. I'm not sure yet, so I'll keep you guys posted. Perhaps I could make arrangements to go to D.C. twice in one month, if the 15th doesn't work out.

I'll let you know.

With the various conflicts in October, I'm wondering whether early November would be any better. Perhaps the 5th or 6th, or even the 12th or 13th?

I. Bruton, would you be able to make another trip in November?

Catlady, it might be nice if you made your trip to Germany before the party. That way, we could see all the pictures and hear, first hand, about your wonderful adventures!

I like the early/mid November idea.

If we do November, the 12th/13th would be better for me.

I could possibly do the 12th (have to make it a day trip). I'm playing a recital on the 17th, so you guys could get a preview! Plus, it would be a great way to prepare myself.
