Please sign up if you are interested in attending a tour at the Frederick Historical Piano Collection in Ashburnham, MA.

Due to their busy fall schedule, this is the 1st weekend Patricia and Edmund could both be available to present a tour for PW members.

******November 5th, Saturday 1pm******

If there is an overwhelming response to this gathering, I'll setup a 2nd tour date. Please don't despair if this date doesn't work for you. wink

Check out Frederick Historical Piano Collection website if you would like to learn more about their collection, require directions or any other info.

I'm interested in attending. Is there a limit TT?

I would suggest a limit of 12. Please let me know if you plan to bring a guest.

I'll keep track of the total attendees in the first post.

Also, the building that houses the collection is kept to a max of 50 degrees during the winter months. Besides a warm coat and gloves, please consider wearing fleece or wool socks for added warmth/comfort.

Terry, put me on the list but only if it does not take up a spot for a newbie. I would be great to spend another fall day with the Fredericks. Mr. BeeLady still tells his friends about it! wink

After somehow posting three times that I would like to be added to the list, I have to cancel. I hate to do it but something else came up. Hopefully there will be another opportunity.

I received the following msg from Pat Frederick after advising her a group had been setup for the tour:

Hi, Terry,
That's nice! I look forward to seeing your group on November 5th.

Please do be sure to remind visitors that the temperature in our
building is adjusted for the comfort of the pianos, not for people!
Seriously, in order to keep the humidity at optimum levels, we tend to
keep the thermostat around fifty degrees during the winter central
heating season. This begins to feel very chilly after awhile, unless
one
is dressed for it. We generally recommend about four layers of
clothing,
and especially, warm socks and shoes or boots. That way, everyone can
enjoy their afternoon, and not be distracted by physical discomfort.

I'm so glad you were able to attend a couple of our concerts this
season!
We'll see you and your group in November.
Pat

There was conversation at the Lowell gathering regarding a change of dates for this event but as long as Patricia Frederick agress to a small number in attendance, those of us who haven't had any conflictions with plans will still be heading over for the tour.

I received a reply from Pat regarding the size of our current tour group and it is not a problem for her.

Another local couple (not PW members eek ) will be joining us.

John & Gary, I'll see you in Ashburnham on Saturday... 1pm! wink
